Towards Conscious Eating – a workshop by Sankalpa
Parents and teachers in today’s world face the challenge of balancing nutrition and taste, in trying to cook meals that are appealing to children. Often the convenience and easy availability of unhealthy options makes it even more difficult to make better choices, further reinforcing the misconception that healthy food cannot be tasty!
This workshop by A. Santhilakshmy will try to shift that perspective and start you on a culinary journey to take you to the source of good health. Santhi is passionate about spreading her deep knowledge on food through her initiative Sankalpa which advises schools and organizations on creating delicious meals which are nutritious as well. She has 15 years of experience in the field, through her work at Bhoomi Network since 2009 focusing on holistic nutrition.
In this hands-on half day workshop, participants will learn about the use of alternate ingredients which are nutritious and tasty, and will learn to make a variety of delicious items for a full meal, from soup to dessert. The cost includes lunch which will be cooked by the participants during the course of the workshop.
