Description: Screen Printing is an ancient art that originated in China during the 9th century A.D. Today, it is one of the most versatile forms of printing due to its vast application on various substrates such as paper, fabric, rubber, metal, glass, wood to name a few. Over the past few decades, it has gained popularity & often interpreted as an industrial task that requires a complex setup & expensive infrastructure. Through the various modules we teach, we intend to break this myth. We have made screen-printing a simpler and joyful process for anyone to learn and practice. Through this module, you will learn how to Screen print a tote bag.
The workshop will include –
- Meshing the screen
- Making the stencil
- Photo emulsion process
- Multicolor printing
- Fabric printing on tote-bag

Material’s that will be provided: Screen printing Kit
What to bring: All the material will be shipped. Please ensure that you have an internet connection of at least 2Mbps speed with a UPS backup for the computer in case of power cut.
Takeaway from the session: You will learn how to mesh your screen, creating the stencil, and printing and get to take home your first screen-printed tote bag!
Artist’s Profile: Bhawani Agarwal is a Graphic Designer and a self-taught artist based out of Bangalore, India. She has been sharing her knowledge on Screen Printing by conducting workshops at Bloom & Grow for the past 2 years. She is extremely committed to developing newer techniques and efficient ways of screen-printing.
