Silk painting – Two-day Beginner workshop on Silk Painting in Bangalore
Learn silk painting in an exhaustive 9-10 hours workshop spread across 2 days on March 3rd & 4th. This workshop is for those who want to start learning this beautiful textile craft. By the end of the workshop, participants will learn to paint on silk, satin, and polyester fabrics.
The Gutta / Water-based resist is a silk painting technique where the designs are outlined with a resist which is applied to white or light color fabric that are pre-washed, dried and stretched. Once gutta dries the fabric is painted. After the painting dries the gutta is washed and removed. The Silk colours are transparent and may be used only on light colored fabric.
All materials required for the workshop will be provided.
