In this workshop, you will learn:
-Introduction to ribbon embroidery (oral)
-Various types of stitches (hands on)
-How to use ribbons of different sizes to make varying patterns & textures (hands on)
-How to use ribbon stitches on two different mediums- velvet and denim (hands on)
You will practice various stitches on a velvet fabric and then you will learn how to customize a simple, functional and elegant rectangular sling bag (10″x8″) , with Ribbon Embroidery to reflect your style and creativity.
Further, you’ll will be able accessorize tops, hand kerchiefs, pendants, chokers etc.
Best of all, you will take home a beautiful sling bag, the velvet fabric you practiced on and a kit which includes a ring, needle.

Further, you’ll understand basics of ribbon embroidery, the types of stitches and will be able accessorize tops, handkerchiefs, sling bags, pillow covers, etc.
Best of all, you will take home a beautiful pendant.

Silk-ribbon embroidery is a romantic, old art that uses ribbon, embroidery floss, and perle cotton to work beautiful floral motifs and decorative stitch patterns by hand on garments and accessories.
You will be working on 3 different types of fabrics:
1. You’ll try the art on a smooth hand kerchief
2. You’ll learn how to use the art in making chain pendants
