Reduse, Reuse & Recycle – The three words may be the mantra of many a eco-conscious soul now but they actually came naturally to the older generation, when nothing was discarded until it has been mended, altered or turned into something new.

Bring back the joy of recycling & up-cycling with our workshop! Turn your old dupatta into a bag or a useful folder and take back ideas for creating beauty through upcycling.

Revive the joy of recycling with our Fabric Upcycle Workshop, specially crafted for 55+, brought to you by Silver Talkies, the online magazine and engagement platform for 55+.

You need to carry an old cotton stole or dupatta (in a good condition). Other supportive art/craft material will be provided in a take-away Do-It- Yourself Kit.

Date: February 28, 2017

Time: 10.30 am to 1 pm (?)

Cost: Rs 500/- only

Participants: 55 year and above (both men & women welcome!)

Venue: Bloom & Grow, Koramangala

Workshop Conducted by: PS Bhavana of Revastra (http://www.revastra.com/).

Revastra retells nostalgic tales through Redesigning, REpurposing or REpairing your old-but- pretty cotton, silk and cotton-silk saris and dupattas. They conduct fabric Upcycle Workshops to raise awareness on how to REuse, REduce and REfuse fabric excess. Everything—products, packaging and even tags—are made
from upcycled textile or paper, and exclusively handmade. Bhavana, the founder of the brand and facilitator of the workshops, has been a fashion journalist, consultant and communication faculty for over 15 years.
