This quick method of painting can be used for commercial reasons to speedily decorate the furniture\, pottery\, boxes and trays ready for sale. Evidence of the Indian craftsman’s unsurpassed skill with printed and dyed cotton cloth appears through out the history. They used complex techniques to achieve desired patterns\, and they changed from place to place depending on the weather conditions and materials available. SUMMARY:One Stroke Painting Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The “One Stroke Technique” is a double loading technique that consists of loading a brush with two separate colors. Donna Dewberry\, the creator of the stroke claims that with her technique you are able to achieve the shading and highlighting in one stroke.  \nThe brushes were ‘double’ and ‘triple’ loaded\, to produce the highlight\, body colour and shadow\, of the petal\, leaf or element\, painted wet-on-wet and with a single stroke of the brush. This quick method of painting can be used for commercial reasons – to speedily decorate the furniture\, pottery\, boxes and trays ready for sale. So\, although the brush carried one\, two\, three or more colours\, it would have taken only ‘one stroke’ of the brush to produce the more complicated shading\, giving depth and beauty to the design. It would have taken much longer to blend these colours together had they been added separately.\nIn this workshop conducted by Shyla Prasad and Priya Satish you will be learning the basics of loading the brush\, creating the basic strokes\, formation of a flower and a simple composition using these basic strokes on an MDF wooden box.  \nDate: 17th December 2016\nTimings: 10.00 am  to 1.00 pm. \nVenue: Bloom and Grow\, Koramangala.  \nFees: Rs. 2500/- \nMaterials will be provided for the workshop. \nYou need to bring\nBowl for water\nWaste cloth to clean brushes\nPlastic sheets/ flat palette to load colours \nFor details contact Shyla Prasad  – 9845683666
