She is currently producing paintings for the inaugural exhibition for the new Museum of Goa & is organising-participating in an exciting 4 woman show, with 5 galleries (so far) travelling from India to Europe later in the year, the final venue being the Nehru Centre, the cultural wing of the Indian High Commission HQ in London. She will be intermittently starting introductory sculpture workshops at B & G. Her work can be seen here –

As a practising fine artist, Barbara uses bird imagery often in her artworks for its symbolism but chose the bird subject for the workshop for its simplicity in sculptural handling, however if students prefer to use other ideas that is fine as well.

Cubism workshop by The Purple Patch India
A workshop on the most influential ‘ISM’ of the 20th century – #Cubism.
Follow artwork by famous cubists like #PabloPicasso and#GeorgesBraque
Participants will have a hands-on experience of the way cubists worked and will create their own cubist masterpiece with a focus on #light and#shade, #contrast and #tones.
The #artappreciation session will include a module with a focus on how to read an artwork. During this session we will look into the unique challenges faced by the cubist artists and a ‘new way of seeing’ and depicting the world around them from multiple perspectives.
