What is Negative painting?
Have you ever thought what could a negative space do?
Someone has truly said, “Make an empty space in any corner of your mind and creativity will instantly fill it”.
That’s what we do here in negative painting.
We let the SURROUNDING shine brighter than the object, we let the NEGATIVE space come forward than the positive space.
Because negative space is Magical! This workshop will guide you in creating your first negative space art and open your minds to view paintings differently.
What are the basic materials required for the workshop?
- Water Colors
- White Paper (A4 size) or Watercolour sheets
- Round brushes (sizes 0, 4 and 6)
- Water, Pencil, rough cloth & a plate
- Cello tape (optional)
No prior experience/ artistic experience required!
What will you learn:
- Basic knowledge about negative painting, different techniques
- Applying base colors & some rough sketching
- Special Brush strokes
- Concept of layering & shadowing
- A beautiful negative painting composition of your own
About the Artist:
Arti is an engineer, a researcher and an artist. In the last 5 years having closely worked with the rural community and health system she feels that each one of us has a special expression of their own inner power. She does photo caricatures, sketch monuments, do watercolors, dutch pour paintings, acrylics and much more. She runs www.bulletraniart.com.
