Calligraphy is the art of decorative writing. Research has shown that apart from being a great art form, it helps children improve their focus, attention span and all the while their handwriting improves. This art has been in existence since 600 BC, back then it was used in everyday writing. Although these days it is mostly used for wedding cards and gift tags.
This calligraphy class will teach the children the use of pointed and flat pens. They will learn the strokes that are used to compose the letters and enable them to use their creativity to create their own style of letters.
Week 1-
The class will be for 1.5 hours a day for
They will spend time on the basics as well as on practice.
They will be given practice grid sheets with example letters that can be used to reproduce the letters.
Week 2 –
In this level, the children can use the skills learned in Week 1 to create words and beautify their writing.
They will learn to practice words, sentences and add decorative elements into their work.
