Silk Ribbon embroidery on Bags
Learn a romantic art form – Silk Ribbon Embroidery, to create beautiful floral motifs, decorative stitch patterns and accessories.
With simple stitches and a satisfying process, even a novice embroiderer can create elegant floral arrangements and beautiful patterns.
In this workshop, you will learn:
-Introduction to ribbon embroidery (oral)
-Various types of stitches (hands on)
-How to use ribbons of different sizes to make varying patterns & textures (hands on)
-How to use ribbon stitches on two different mediums- velvet and denim (hands on)
You will practice various stitches on a velvet fabric and then you will learn how to customize a simple, functional and elegant rectangular sling bag (10″x8″) , with Ribbon Embroidery to reflect your style and creativity.
Further, you’ll will be able accessorize tops, hand kerchiefs, pendants, chokers etc.
Best of all, you will take home a beautiful sling bag, the velvet fabric you practiced on and a kit which includes a ring, needle.
