Shoe Painting – Online Workshop with Shailee’s Hand-painted Shoes
Convert a boring new pair of white canvas shoes into a ‘work of art.’ Or just revive an old pair and make it look new and colourful!
Acrylic paints are meant for canvas and they last as long as your shoes would. These painted shoes can even be washed and the paint will stay on!
These shoes make a great gifting idea and if you don’t feel like wearing them, they even look great displayed on the shelf!
Shifting your ‘canvas’ from regular surfaces like paper, fabric and stretched canvas to ‘a pair of shoes’ is very exciting! It gives you an opportunity to pick a new hobby, broaden your artistic horizon onto a new surface and do something that not many people do.
Materials required:
– Canvas shoes (could be new or used. If used, they need to be washed and dried before painting)
– Acrylic paints
– Paint brushes (round brushes no.0, 2 and a flat brush thick enough for base coat, if required)
– Water bowl and palette
– Rag or tissue to wipe and clean brushes
– Old cloth or newspaper for packing so that the shoe stays in shape while painting
About the Artist:
Shailee is an artist and designer who has been painting canvas shoes since 2012. Her shoes have traveled all over the world and she continues to take orders for custom painted accessories!
