A Mural is any piece of artwork painted or applied directly on a wall, ceiling or other permanent surface. A distinguishing characteristic of mural painting is that the architectural elements of the given space are harmoniously incorporated into the picture.
 
Within the two and a half hours, the workshop will help the participants to create from scratch mural artworks which are ready to placed in their living rooms. The participants will be creating air-dry clay works (murals) on mounted canvas which would then be gently painted over using Acrylic paints.
 
In this workshop, participants will learn-
1. Understanding and appreciating mural art
2. Choosing the subject of choice for the artwork
3. Preparing the air dry clay and other required materials
4. Sculpting the clay
5. Coloring the artwork using acrylic paints and
6. Editing and final touches
 
Artist- Hansa Nyati. She is a Jaipur based artist and works on a variety of mediums ranging from oil paintings to bronze sculptures. Recently, a majority of her works have been home-decor items inspired by tribal art and nature-inspired motifs. Workshop details:
All the materials will be provided at the venue.
 
Date- 23th/24th/25th April 2019
Day- Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday
Time- 11:30 AM – 2 PM
Fee- Rs 1300 per person for one day (Includes all materials – mounted canvas, air-dry clay and acrylic paints)
         Rs 3500 per person for all three days
Booking fee- Rs 500 per person (Balance to be paid at the venue)
Venue- Bloom and Grow, Koramangala.
 
Please note: After each day’s workshop, you would have a mural art piece ready which you can decorate at home. If a participant comes for three days, he / she would have created three mural pieces of her choice.

In this workshop you will learn to create wonderful textures and grains using the faux wood with graining techniques to make a beautiful key holder.
 
You will learn the following techniques in this workshop:
 
1) Distressing on wood:
Learn distressing and add distinguished texture and rustic appeal to a plain wood. One can use this technique to give a different look to the existing furniture or perhaps to any leftover wood.
 
2) Woodgrain technique on wood:
Woodgraining is the process of painting wood grain pattern on a panel that has been primed and prepped. This amazing technique allows you to turn a flat, bland panel into a beautiful wood surface.
 
Combination with art of decoupage and distressing, the project coming to life and adding warmth to your living rooms, kitchen or any space.

LEGO WeDo!

LEGO WeDo Construction Kit is a simple robotics tool allows children to design their own interactive machines and then program them using drag-and-drop software. These projects help children to lay the foundation for lifelong learning.

Why LEGO WeDo?

Enables students to work as young scientists, engineers, mathematicians and creative writers providing them with the settings, tools and tasks for completing cross curricular projects.

What to do?

Children build and program a working model and then use the model for different purposes, depending upon the theme of the activity and its focused subject matter in science, technology, mathematics or language

How it helps?

A playful learning approach
Think creatively to make a working model
Develop vocabulary and communication skills to explain how the model works
Establish links between cause and effect
Reflect on how to find answers and imagine new possibilities

The group will be limited to a maximum of 12 nos. so children students get personal attention from the facilitator. The facilitators are officilaly trained by LEGO to facilitate the LegoWeDo sessions.
