An easy flower making session for kids and adults
No prior knowledge required
You will learn how to make 5 kinds of flowers, the design sheet will be sent for you’ll to trace, even if you are not able to get a printout, the freehand design would also work.
These beautiful flowers can be used for scrapbooking and upcycling projects, or for amazing card making and even as a jewellery piece.
Materials required:
1. Drawing book paper/Cartridge sheets/Floral paper (White & Color)
2. Acrylic paints, distress inks/ Spray mists/ Soft pastels basically anything to color with
3. Ball tool / Embossing tool / Thick bulky pen as a substitute
4. Embossing pad / Old soft Diary / Thick towel
5. Pearls/beads/pollen fillers
6. Water mist spray / A bowl of water
7. Fevicol

Awaiting a Sospeso workshop? also known as Volume Decoupage. Get introduced to the fundamental techniques of this beautiful craft and add a new dimension to your crafting skills.

The paper veil technique would be taught which later on can practically be done on any kind of surface. The technique basically involves heating flat plastic films and making beautiful 3 D shapes out of it. Post the workshop, you can use the same technique to create sospeso coasters, photo frames, wall deco and more.

Materials required:
1. Old bottle
2. Embossing pad/Old cushioned diary
3. Wooden embossing tools/Pen with Round ends
4. Sospeso paper veil +Transparent sheet
5. Paint Brush
6. Thread
7. Fabric glue
8. Pearls and fillers
9. Tealight candle
10. Tweezers(Optional)
11. Scissors

A Brief About the Workshop: 3 Dimensional Paper Cut Artwork

Details About the Workshop:

The paper mosaic project is a technique of paper cutting making it three-dimensional by adding height and depth to enable a beautiful interplay of light and shadows.

17th and 18th May, 2017; 7:30 AM – 9:30 AM IST (Online) or 10pm – 12.00am (EST)

Materials Required:

White or black paper – 160gsm or more (Has to be paper without the fibre, cannot be handmade paper etc)

Coloured craft paper – 120gsm or more

Xacto paper cutting knife – No 11

Self-healing cutting mat

Pattern will be emailed to you.

An internet connection of at least 1MBPS speed with a UPS backup for the computer in case of a power cut.

Artist’s Profile:

Ritu Gera is an artist in a very unique field of “paper cutting”. Her interest in paper cutting started out as a hobby for her few years back but with passion and dedication, she has nurtured it into a successful career.

Ritu is a skilled painter in water and oil, a quilling artist as par excellence. She is open to new ideas and likes to take on new challenges, loves experimenting and combining multiple mediums, saying it keeps her upbeat and fresh.

Not only does she makes great pieces of work from a “mundane” activity like cutting paper but she also enjoys teaching children and adults. Her patience and willingness to share and expand her work she is loved is why she is by all children and fellow crafters.

How does it work?

Step 1 – Register for the workshop with an online payment in 3 steps –

1. Tickets – Mention the no of tickets you need – For e.g – 1 no.

2. Attendee – Mention the name, email id and phone no of the attendee (Pls. provide a whatsapp no. if possible)

3. Payment – Make a payment through PayPal
Step 2 – After you register by making a payment, you will receive an email from us that will guide you on how to enter a live workshop room. You can view the workshop from the convenience of your home and complete your artwork as the workshop goes along. You will need your kit before you join the session.

Step 3 – We will do a test session a day prior to the first day of the workshop. You will be briefed on the steps by mail and from then on, you login at the respective time for 2 days.
