The workshop includes basic techniques like pinching, coiling and slab making. Hand-building pottery is the basic start one needs to learn in order to work with clay as a hobby or profession. Connecting with the clay and understanding different forms will give more exposure to building bigger articles. Before you start using the wheel, basic hand-building is very important.

Workshop schedule includes –
1. Understanding clay
2. Understanding of how the raw clay is processed to a usable article
3. Pinching method
4. Coil method
5. Slab making method
6. Drying and firing methods(theory only)
7. Paints, varnish n glazing methods(theory only)

This hand-building pottery session covers the different methods of working with clay.

In this workshop, participants will learn the art of moulding easy and beautiful hand built articles.

Pottery also plays an important role in one’s health and is also used as a form of therapy. Working with clay helps –
