Learn to make Soaps & Bath Salts with Urban Ladder

Walk into the Urban Ladder store on June 30 for a workshop on making natural soap and bath salts. Most mass-manufactured soaps are brimful of harsh chemicals, and not really friends to your skin. Natural, organic soap, that you can easily make at home, makes for a great alternative – its gentle on your skin, and on the environment!
At this workshop, facilitators from Bloom&Grow will guide you to make soap using the easy melt-and-pour technique. Using a vegetable-oil soap base that is free of sulfates, parabens & petrochemicals, you will learn to introduce textures and fragrance. You will layer interesting ingredients – shea butter, neem, citrus, essential oils and the like. If you’re thinking that sounds like a treat to the senses, you’re absolutely right! You will also learn how to make aromatic bath salts that exfoliate dead skin, relax your muscles, and uplift your spirits.
At the end of the workshop, you get to take home your very own 4 handmade soaps and a jar of fragrant bath salt. As a bonus, you will receive helpful handouts with instructions and recipes for your future soap-making adventures. So come on over, and learn to make nourishing soaps and salts your skin will love!
