Let’s create Monoprints with Urban Ladder

Want to try your hand at an unusual craft? Come over to the Urban Ladder store on the 3rd of March, for a workshop on monoprinting.

Why dabble in monoprints? For starters, they have a unique, textured appeal – they combine the best of paintings and prints. They have the charm of novelty too, since no two prints are exactly the same. Even better, they lend themselves to all kinds of ideas – printed cushion covers, pillow covers, wall art etc. Once you’ve got the knack of it, the possibilities are endless!

At this workshop, you will create prints on paper and fabric, using glass printing plates and paint. To give your artwork a unique flavour, you will use textured surfaces such as flowers, leaves, and strings. Facilitators from Bloom & Grow will give you all the supplies you need, and guide you through the process. At the end of two hours, you will take home your original prints on paper and fabric.
