We have a Fluid Art Workshop, which is an intuitive form of art that is very captivating and gaining popularity amongst artists and amateurs alike. A fun painting technique that involves flowing acrylic paints resulting in mesmerizing works of art.
We shall explore various techniques of acrylic pouring like ribbon pour, swirls, flip cup, strainer etc. Participants can use any one or combination of the above techniques

– Canvas 10” by 10” (any other similar size or shape will do) – Can keep extra canvas to practice
– Fevicryl bottle paints (any 4/5 shades of 100 ml) (keep a balance of light, medium, dark shades)

Learn the Palette knife painting techniques using acrylics to create a beautiful 3-dimensional textured effect. Palette knife painting involves thick color application using knives
In this workshop, paint an Elegant Bouquet. Create textures on your canvas with this diverse tool. You can use flat brushes if you do not have palette knives.
What is One stroke painting?
One stroke painting is an art technique in which you can make beautiful paintings in one stroke. You can achieve shading, highlighting, and blending in a single stroke movement. This technique add more depth and realism in paintings and can be used on a variety of different surfaces such as glass, canvas, wood, paper, fabric etc.
What are the basic materials required for the workshop?
– Canvas board OR canvas pad: OR Thick drawing sheet/ chart paper (over 250 GSM and above) – Recommended size for the final project is 8 by 10 inches
–Acrylic paints (Recommended colors: White, Olive Green, Napkes Yellow, Indian Red, Teal Blue. However, feel free to use whatever acrylic colors you may have)
–Flat brush no. 5/6/7
–Thin round brush No. 0/1/2/3 – Print papers A
– Other supplies such as Water, spare cloth, sponge/dabber, mixing plate/palette
No prior experience/ artistic experience required!
Participants will practice various brush loading and painting techniques before doing a composition.
Video will be provided post the workshop for view for a limited period.
About the Artist:
Nirupama Chirmade is a Bangalore-based One Stroke Painting Technique artist. She learnt this art in US. Her love for Nature was how she began paintings. Flowers and Leaves using acrylic colours. The beauty in one stroke she says is When she see real flowers, she thinks of ways to paint it using One Stroke technique.
