Bloom and Grow is conducting Drawing and Painting Classes designed for absolute beginners. The class is perfect for children of ages 5 to 8 years.
The teaching process used for the classes is kid-tested and will be step-by-step but will leave enough room for your child to bring in her/his own creativity to the projects. Through unique drawing and painting projects, your child will get introduced to various mediums including but not restricted to color pencils, oil pastels, paints, pencil work and paper crafting too.
The course curriculum includes Drawing using shapes, numbers, dot paintings, animal and human drawings, Pattern paintings, Resistance paintings.
Morning Batch: 12 noon to 1 pm (Wednesdays and Fridays)
Evening Batch: 5 pm to 6 pm (Tuesdays and Fridays)

About the Trainer:
Vinita is largely self-taught artist from Bangalore. However, she has completed a short-term Certification Course from the JJ School of Arts & Architecture in Mumbai. She is an enthusiastic participant of art events, workshops and exhibition, both in India and globally. Vinita also has an extensive career in teaching art. She has been conducting art classes for children for nearly 20 years. She has also taught in Montessori and elementary schools.

Poster Paint Art – Beginners Workshop in Bangalore
Poster paint is a distemper paint that usually uses a type of gum-water or glue size as its binder. It either comes in large bottles or jars or in a powdered form. It is normally a paint used in theatrical backdrops or in school art classes.
Poster paint can be used as same way of Acrylic paint, but has a ease time of drying very speedily. Easy drying of painting makes Poster paint ideal for using in a playgroup, workshop or art club setting.

Block printing and Dyeing with Natural dyes
Nature is full of colours, colours so beautiful and captivating that men from early times have tried to capture its ephemeral beauty to decorate themselves and their homes as colour seem to speak the very language of the soul.
Art of traditional block printing on to cotton cloth is thought to have existed in India for over 4500 years. Evidence of the Indian craftsman’s unsurpassed skill with printed and dyed cotton cloth appears through out the history. They used complex techniques to achieve desired patterns, and they changed from place to place depending on the weather conditions and materials available. Each pattern, motif meant something and spoke of their identity.
The five hour workshop will introduce you to the basics of hand block printing and dyeing using natural materials available around you.It will cover the following :
– Understanding natural dyes and its properties
– Understanding block printing practices in India
– Identifying locally available materials
– Preparing the fabric for dyeing and mordanting
– Practice dyeing using two local materials
– How to extract colours and how to use them as dye and colour paste
– Techniques of block printing, practice printing and printing on scarf to take home
– Post treatment of fabric
