The sketching and pencil shading classes will introduce participants to the fundamentals of sketching and different types of shading. The following will be covered:

iii) Learning about cross contour lines and how to use them
B) Learning shape and form fundamentals:
i) Basics of geometric and organic shapes
ii) Drawing a landscape with geometric shapes
iii) Drawing a character with geometric shapes
iv) Learn the basics of geometric 3D form
v) Learn how light and shadow work on 3D forms
vi) Advanced form/highlight and shadow

C) Learning values and contrast:

Food Illustration with Hemali Mehta (Online-live Session)
Do you love food? Want to capture amazing delicacies in your hand-drawn sketches this summer? Then this workshop is for you.
Food illustration food sketching is a great way to record your connection with food. This is a two hour workshop, where you’ll learn and sketch croissant and other dessert.
You will:
– Learn the value of having a time limit!
– Practice capturing a scene with minimal drawing and instead use a beautiful wash of paint and ink pens.
– Learn what to put in and what to leave out!
– Learn about focal points and composition, colour and more.
Materials required:
– Watercolors
– Pens (black), water resistant recommended
– A4 papers for practice
– A5 watercolor paper or a thick white paper
– Pencil and eraser
– Water container and old kitchen towel

Experience creating your own great art with acrylic paints like never before. Grüne & Black returns with a brand new workshop on the fundamentals of acrylic painting. Featuring a range of modules covering the basics of drawing, perspective and shading; colour theory, mixing and techniques; and compositions on canvas.
This is an intensive workshop over 4 weekends that will get you started on a journey of artistic endeavours that you perhaps never imagined possible. Ideally suited for late teen / adult participants, it requires no prior background or experience in art. If you have experimented with art earlier or are looking to start, this is the workshop for you.
