What is this program about?
  • The Program is meant for kids (8-12years) to help them unravel the world around us in times of no or less travel.
  • One country will be chosen for 1 program and they cover the country’s history, culture, scientific inventions, folklore, food, art, music, and lifestyle through relatable activities/stories. For eg – From the movie Harry Potter and the sorcerer’s stone, there are destinations in Scotland that they can relate to.
  •  Activities such as role-plays of scientists, film critic, video journalist, chef, musician, and many more.
  •  7 weeks of regular high interactive sessions with a limited batch size of 12 to 15 children.
  • Guided project in small teams of 2 to 3 children.
  • Budgeting through virtual money and sustainable travel discussions.
  • Opportunity to interact with locals through virtual platforms.
The key focus areas are critical thinking, logical reasoning, respect for diversity, communication skills in diverse environments, budgeting, and more.
What is GCT?
GCT is a carefully curated program for children with focus on developing key skills of critical thinking and logical reasoning facilitated through interactive sessions and fun activities through countries, cultures and experiences. This program facilitates effective communication skills, teamwork, as well as the ability to think independently in diverse ecosystems.
Age: 8-12 years of age

What is One stroke painting?
One stroke painting is an art technique in which you can make beautiful paintings in one stroke. You can achieve shading, highlighting, and blending in a single stroke movement. This technique add more depth and realism in paintings and can be used on a variety of different surfaces such as glass, canvas, wood, paper, fabric etc.

What are the basic materials required for the workshop?
Canvas board OR canvas pad: OR Thick drawing sheet/ chart paper (over 250 GSM and above) – Recommended size for the final project is 8 by 10 inches
Acrylic paints (Recommended colors: White, Olive Green, Napkes Yellow, Indian Red, Teal Blue. However, feel free to use whatever acrylic colors you may have)

Using the crackle media correctly is key to success and there will be lots of tips for this. While doing crackle effect, BLENDING the background well is a critical consideration for an awesome finish and that will be taught as well

2. Metal Planter/Kettle: On metal surface you will learn the GILDING decoupage technique for this. Also, as we transit from flat to a ROUND SURFACE, the background blending techniques will vary.

3. Fabric bag/ Cushion Cover: Not the easiest surface to decoupage without wrinkles, you will master the art of decoupaging on fabric. You will also learn the use of STENCILS and SPRAYS to complement the decoupage.

4. Glass Tray/ Plate: A fantastic surface to work with, you will learn the technique of REVERSE DECOUPAGE that involves working on the back of the plate. We will also learn techniques to enhance the background with CRACKLE EFFECT and build on layers by blending colors.

5. Wood/MDF: Learn to lend a delicate LACE effect on a wood/MDF surface like nameboards, plaques etc.
