We commence a 4-month in-depth watercolor course that will help you to master this unique medium completely. Learn watercolor techniques, understand the medium and pigment behavior, and much more in this course with us.

Here is your entry into the amazing world of Brush Lettering. Brush lettering is like Modern Calligraphy with Brush Script. The art is about creating letters, strokes, and projects with brush pens or brush tip tools.

Brush Lettering is a versatile and elegant form of hand lettering and is great for making posters, bookmarks, etc. Distributed comfortably over two days, this is a beginner-friendly session to help you create art, using letters and words.  The course will include :
-Techniques to use brush pens
-Basic strokes with the brush
-Nuances of pressure variation

Materials needed:
Dom Brush Pens / Camlin Brush Pens / Short tip pens (These are all recommended for beginners)

In this workshop, we will be doing dot mandalas on bottles or paper You will be learning how to work on a curved or flat base and also methods of layering and sealing the dots.
Materials Required:
1. Clean glass bottle (preferably dark colored blue, brown or green) or Canvas/MDF primed with black acrylic paint
2. Acrylic colors, light, and bright shades. Like white, yellow, leaf green, red, orange, red, light blue.
3. Dot art tools, or if not available earbuds, pencil, toothpicks, round brush ends, etc will work also.

Course curriculum:

1.Melamine Plate: On this surface we will learn to lend a ‘CRACKLE’ effect using both one-step crackle media. Using the crackle media correctly is key to success and there will be lots of tips for this. While doing crackle effect, BLENDING the background well is a critical consideration for an awesome finish and that will be taught as well

2. Metal Planter/Kettle: On metal surface you will learn the GILDING decoupage technique for this. Also, as we transit from flat to a ROUND SURFACE, the background blending techniques will vary.

3. Fabric bag/ Cushion Cover: Not the easiest surface to decoupage without wrinkles, you will master the art of decoupaging on fabric. You will also learn the use of STENCILS and SPRAYS to complement the decoupage.

4. Glass Tray/ Plate: A fantastic surface to work with, you will learn the technique of REVERSE DECOUPAGE that involves working on the back of the plate. We will also learn techniques to enhance the background with CRACKLE EFFECT and build on layers by blending colors.

5. Wood/MDF: Learn to lend a delicate LACE effect on a wood/MDF surface like nameboards, plaques etc.
This workshop is a complimentary module.

6. Wax Candle: Learn LAYERING of decoupage napkins on WAX candles and adding a shimmery effect or CRYSTAL DECOUPAGE. The same technique may be used on coasters, bottle, planters or jars.

Pastels are fun, and versatile! Pastel drawings and paintings glow with intensely luminous color and rich texture.

Soft pastels are easily blendable, and can be blended with fingers, a blending stump, or a cloth. Unlike the process of painting, the colors are mixed directly on the paper and the colors that are produced, are wonderfully intense.

The following techniques would be taught during the session:

– Blending
– Hatching
– Cross Hatching
– Side strokes
– Feathering
– Pointalism
– Little strokes

With a lot of notable artists making soft pastels as their primary medium, considering that they are fun to use, just like a chalk!

Materials needed –
– Soft pastels
– Thick art sheet

Resin art and Geode making with Sonali Rao – Online session

Resin is a two-part compound that hardens to give a clear and glossy finish. Geode is a geological formation consisting of volcanic rocks, minerals, sediments, crystals, etc. Using the resin medium, we would be bringing out patterns with resin, stones, crystals, etc. to create a geode look-alike.

Learn making geode.

  • Understand what is geode.
  • See original geode and learn how to replicate them with resin.
  • Learn what all semi precious stones can be used in resin.
  • Other materials which can be used in resin.
  • How to use texture paste in resin

You can take notes step by step so so it will be helpful when you are going to do with material.
