In this session we explore a unique specialty finish – faux marble effect. This workshop is packed with techniques. Three different techniques will be demonstrated to create a marble effect.

Alcohol ink is an impressionistic medium. This medium is a current rage amongst artist due to its highly pigmented colors that are transparent and extremely vibrant that on drying give a wispy effect. Alcohol inks are widely used to create flowing abstract art, mixed media projects, landscapes, resin projects etc. They can be used on multiple surfaces mostly which includes non porous surfaces like glossy paper, glass, ceramic etc.
In this workshop we shall run through the various techniques of painting with alcohol inks and create our own abstract art on yupo paper and ceramics.
Mosaic is a decorative art of creating patterns on a surface by setting small coloured piece of glass, title or marble.
In this workshop participants will be directed step by step from preparing a wooden cardboard till they finish painting the joint sealant and will also be guided to create design, cutting glass, assembling and grouting.

The technique basically involves heating flat plastic films and making beautiful 3 D shapes out of it. Glass Bottle cutting & Lamp Making workshop in Bangalore for Beginners
Cutting glass bottles is fun, easy and good for the environment. We will Upcycle/Recycle glass bottles into a beautiful electric lamp that can accessorize your home.
In the workshop, participants will learn the following:
– How to score the glass
– How to cut glass by stressing it
– How to smooth glass and grind it
Finally, participants will make lamps from the cut glass bottle

Remove labels from all bottles – To remove labels from bottles, dip the bottles in soapy water overnight. Once the label comes off, any sticky residue can be scrubbed off with soap and a scrubber.

Ritu Gera is an artist in a very unique field of “paper cutting”. Her interest in paper cutting started out as a hobby for her few years back but with passion and dedication, she has nurtured it into a successful career.
Ritu is a skilled painter in water and oil, a quilling artist as par excellence. She is open to new ideas and likes to take on new challenges, loves experimenting and combining multiple mediums, saying it keeps her upbeat and fresh.
Not only does she makes great pieces of work from a “mundane” activity like cutting paper but she also enjoys teaching children and adults. Her patience and willingness to share and expand her work she is loved is why she is by all children and fellow crafters.

Step 3 – We will do a test session a day prior to the first day of the workshop. You will be briefed on the steps by mail and from then on, you login at the respective time for 2 days.
